Growing Forward: My Mid-Year Reflection

Summer always has a way of slowing life down. Families take trips, routines loosen, and work often quiets down just a bit. I’ve learned to welcome that pause because it gives me something I don’t often get in busier seasons—space to reflect.

This year, I’ve used that space to step back, take a breath, and think about how I want to grow for the remainder of the year.

During this time of reflection, my business coach, Angie Wisdom, shared something that really stuck with me:

“You can be off track—and still be winning…
Success doesn’t live at the finish line. It shows up in every moment you choose to keep going.”

That reminder shifted how I think about growth. It’s easy to measure success only by the big milestones or perfectly executed plans. But the truth is, growth often happens in the small, consistent steps we take along the way—and in the courage to keep going, even when the path shifts.

With that in mind, I’ve been thinking about how I want to approach the rest of this year. Here are three ways I’m intentionally growing forward:

1. Scaling with Purpose

I’m taking time to thoughtfully plan how to grow my business in ways that feel sustainable and aligned. Instead of chasing “more,” I want to focus on meaningful growth that serves my clients in the best way possible.

2. Creating Space for My Family

Summer reminded me how quickly time moves, especially with a 3-year-old at home. Being present with my family is just as important to me as professional success, and setting boundaries around my time helps me show up better in every area of life.

3. Reconnecting and Providing Value

I’ve been reaching out to past clients and creating more resources like this to share ideas, encouragement, and support. I believe we all benefit from lifting each other up as we pursue our individual goals.

If there’s one takeaway I hope to share with you, it’s this: you don’t need a perfect plan to be making progress.Success isn’t only the big, shiny finish line—it’s in the small, intentional steps that move you closer to the life and work you want.

So, as we step into the rest of the year, I encourage you to reflect:

  • What small wins can you celebrate so far?

  • What intentional steps will you take next?

Growth is happening—even in the quiet, even in the pivots, even when the path looks different than you first imagined.

Here’s to moving forward with purpose, celebrating the little wins, and finishing the year strong.
